Early in 2020 The Heath welcomed Cryoniss to a new laboratory facility to assist with their business expansion. Co-founder Sonia Houghton explains the reasons behind their decision on choosing The Heath.

“On 1st February 2020, Cryoniss opened up its second operations facility for ambient to -80°C storage of biological samples at The Heath Business and Technical Park, in Runcorn. Whilst the ex-ICI site is afforded excellent facilities, and a perfect location just off the M56, it was the highly experienced and proficient on-site Facilities Management and Security team, run by SOG Ltd, that gave Cryoniss‘ Board of Directors the peace of mind. Not only would the on-site engineering and safety teams work closely to support our business, but there was a quick and responsive approach for the business to grow on-site. The purpose built renovation of existing laboratories at The Heath were to Cryoniss‘ exacting requirements.”

“The SOG team, working closely with Phil Hargreaves, Cryoniss‘ Chief Operating Officer, designed and built a bespoke facility, with appropriate back up strategies in place, including a specifically sourced automatic generator that took a crane to install and has the capacity to run the electrics for the entire block.”
