Tom Lagan achieved an extraordinary endurance feat after completing the gruelling Chester Ultra 100 – a punishing 100-mile race!
Tom, who works for Heath resident business CJ Retail, is a dedicated and familiar face at Heath Gym, took on the challenge on Saturday 17th April. Starting at 6:00am, he pushed himself through the day and into the early hours of the next morning, eventually finishing at 3:30am. He completed the race in an outstanding time of 21:31:31, securing an impressive 23rd place overall.
Drawing on months of disciplined training, Tom prepared for the race with a combination of endurance sessions and mental conditioning. His commitment paid off as he successfully completed the event.

The Chester Ultra is widely regarded as one of the UK’s toughest endurance races, demanding not only physical stamina but also resilience, pacing strategy, and mental toughness. Completing it is a significant milestone in any runner’s career and for Tom, it marks a standout moment both personally and within the Heath Gym community.
