Heath owners SOG said security levels have been restored after switching to a remote out-of-hours service during the pandemic.
Manned 24-seven security is being re-introduced at the Heath Business and Technical Park in Runcorn.
Park owners SOG Group said the move will boost protection for the 125 companies based at the office and laboratory complex on Heath Road South.
Birkenhead-based facilities management firm Oculus has been picked to back up The Heath’s internal security team to make sure the site is covered around the clock, from March 1 onwards.
John Lewis MBE, SOG Ltd Managing Director and owner, said: “When the pandemic struck, we introduced remote out-of-hours security surveillance to monitor activity at times when our dedicated in-house guards were not on site.
“With the pandemic now over, and with our residents now returning along with many new businesses, we have decided the time is now right to enhance the level of protection that we offer to all of our customers.”
An SOG spokesman said many of the companies at The Heath undertake “sophisticated and sensitive” research and development.
Mr Lewis added: “Security has always been an extremely important focus for SOG.
“We constantly review and upgrade our processes and procedures, investing in the latest security equipment to ensure our buildings, especially in the non-public areas, are secure and monitored, particularly the areas in which our science laboratories are located.
“This new agreement with Oculus means that in the future The Heath will be even more safe and protected at night, at weekends and on public holidays.”
As well as specialising in security, Oculus also offers cleaning, grounds and property maintenance and waste management services, plus managing vacant properties.
David Ward, Oculus director and founder, said: “With ever increasing interest from corporate clients wanting to occupy a space at the Heath Business and Technical Park, Oculus Facilities Management were approached by SOG to help implement a 24-seven-365 security presence on site.
“Following our review of the park, Oculus has partnered with SOG and their very capable and experienced team to deliver a physical security presence and enhanced CCTV and access control solution.
“This investment and enhanced solution means the Heath Business and Technical Park can provide a modern, first-class security service for its current and future tenants.
“Everyone at Oculus Facilities Management has been delighted with SOG’s approach and willingness to engage as a team.
“Their support has been key to us delivering a stringent mobilisation plan that offers confidence to both SOG and its clients.
“We look forward to working alongside SOG on this and future projects.”
